Grim outlook for missing fishermen off Tas
Four men, one of them a New Zealander, set off for a day’s fishing near Cremorne yesterday.

The search has resumed for two missing men whose mates were found dead in waters southeast of Hobart after a fishing trip turned to tragedy.
When they failed to return that night, family members raised the alarm.
The search for the other two men will continue this morning using the rescue helicopter, a plane and two police boats.
But they say if the ageing runabout has capsized, rescuers would expect to have found floating debris as a search for them continues.
Foot searches have also been conducted around beaches and cliffs in the area.
“Survivability in that temperature of water isn’t good”, he said.
Weather conditions on Sunday and overnight are not expected to have caused problems for the fibreglass craft which Insp Renshaw described as old.
“We’ve got grave concerns for their safety, particularly if their vessel has sunk and they’re in the water”.
The four men were believed to have access to lifejackets but weren’t carrying an emergency radio beacon.
He could not comment on the boating experience of those on board.
Police found the bodies in Frederick Henry Bay off the coast of Sloping Main.
“That particular boat, had it been swamped with water, with four people on it, and with the motor the size it had on it – 150hp – it would have gone to the bottom”, Renshaw said.
