Reports status family has been anxious and commenced screeching simply because they fast walk from the family home planning to and through an elementary school.
Anselmo tried to get the city to take the decorations down, but they’re protected under freedom of expression.
She said her daughter thought they were real bodies. After the girl told her mother about it, Jackie Anselmo said she took a picture and emailed it to city leaders in hopes of getting it taken down.
WOIO’s news broadcast of the controversial yard display began with a brief warning that viewers could find the scene “disturbing” and have asked members of the community to weigh in on their Facebook page.
Barrett says she even has a two-year-old and a special needs teenager, and would never do anything to purposely frighten children.
The homeowners say they haven’t received any complaints about the display.
PARMA, Ohio -For a few, Halloween isn’t just about princess costumes and an excess of sugary candies.
“I think its fine”. It’s Halloween. I don’t look at a controversy making use of it. My kid has seen “Nightmare on Elm Street” and she’s list of 7. “So she’s not scared and I think it’s all in good fun”, said Austin. Alarmed neighbors suggested that the display was racist; characters with black heads hanging from trees recalled the lynching of African Americans, and the military ordered the display taken down.
What do you think – is the display absolutely what Halloween’s about, or is it in very poor taste?
