Guard Jeremy Lin looking to find stability with Hornets

Let’s face it, the Charlotte Hornets point guard rotation is not the greatest. The three teams were reportedly the Dallas Mavericks, the Denver Nuggets, and the Indiana Pacers. It almost took more than a week after in the free agency before the Harvard graduate finally got a palatable offer and said yes to it. Heck, don’t be surprised if all three sit out.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. >> Point guard Jeremy Lin is in search of some stability with the Charlotte Hornets. Playing in a weaker Eastern Conference will also benefit Lin after strutting his wares against some of the elite playmakers in the West. But the best part of Lin’s current deal with the Hornets is it would allow him to test the free-agency market next season, when National Basteball Association salaries are expected to raise three-fold as a result of the league’s multi-billion dollar deal with its TV partners.

For a journeyman, Jeremy Lin sure is lucky as Linsanity just went from Kobe Bryant to Michael Jordan.

Associate Head Coach Patrick Ewing will serve as head coach of the team’s summer league squad for the second straight year.

Lin’s signing is just the latest of series moves General manager Rich Cho pulled off this offseason to address the Hornets’ anemic offense, which ranked third to the last in the league last season at 94.2 points per contest. He is better coming off the bench, which the Hornets fully understand.

Ryan Boatright, an undrafted point guard out of the University of Connecticut, continued to put together quality film for his resume. His post also comes with the logo of the Charlotte Hornets, details the San Jose Mercury News.

Los Angeles Lakers’ Jeremy Lin stands on the court during the first half of an National Basteball Association basketball game against the Los Angeles Clippers, Tuesday, April 7, 2015, in Los Angeles. Although the terms of his contract is not revealed, sources claim that Lin has a biannual exception of two years and $4.3 million.

In signing Jeremy Lin for the next two National Basteball Association seasons, the Charlotte Hornets is not actually making him as the team’s savior to lead them to the National Basteball Association championship.
