As “Guardians of the Galaxy” celebrated its first year anniversary, its director James Gunn wrote a heartfelt letter to fans, thanking them not only for their support for the film and its characters, but also for inspiring him to create even more wonderful worlds.
The series unfortunately looks nothing like the attractively designed and lovingly inked test footage that was shown at New York Comic Con last fall.
Check out the plot and teaser after the jump while we await the premiere of the animated series scheduled for September. The team will also begin their quest to find the Cosmic Seed.
The Guardians will be voiced by Will Friedle as Star-Lord, Vanessa Marshall as Gamora, Kevin Michael Richardson as Groot, Trevor Devall as Rocket and David Sobolov as Drax the Destroyer.
Marvel and Disney are counting down the days until the Guardians of the Galaxy cartoon series hits screens with a series of two-minute origin stories, and Entertainment Tonight’s exclusive clip is from the second part of Peter Quill’s. “Upon opening it, Quill unleashes a treasure map leading to a powerful weapon known as the Cosmic Seed, which is capable of giving birth to the next universe”. “The movie and franchise quickly became a worldwide phenomenon”.
Jeph Loeb, Head of Marvel Television, said (as published on the same article) that after starring in the biggest movie of 2014, everyone just wants more of Star-Lord and his crew.
