Guardiola tells Man City players: Entertain first, win trophies later
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed in an interview with Oasis band member Noel Gallagher that he nearly signed for the club back in 2005 during the Stuart Peace era.

“I proved myself where I was born in Barcelona and after I proved myself in Germany”, Guardiola said, “and I want to prove myself here”.
“I want the people who enjoy football to be proud of what we did”.
“In England the most important thing in football, the people don’t come to see who the manager is, they come to see how good our players are”, he said.
“Of course it’s not ideal but I have to accept it”, added the former Nuremberg player.
“Anything is possible. I think Pep knows what he has to do and what he has to change”.
Iheanacho, 20, was named in Nigeria’s 35-man provisional squad for the 2016 Games, but, unlike at previous tournaments, clubs are not obliged to release players to take part. We have one of the best facilities in the world’.
“I’m happy with what I did last season and now I have to work really hard this season to get something for the team and work for the team as well”.
“I don’t know if they have decided – my team and my country, I don’t know if they have concluded or not”.
Since the big-money takeover of the club in 2008 by Sheikh Mansour, the club has experienced exponential growth and this year looks set to reach a new level with the addition of legendary coach Pep Guardiola.
City believe that the Iheanacho would benefit more from spending a full pre-season working with Guardiola as the player seeks to establish himself as a first-team regular. The low point came during a Spanish Super Cup meeting in 2011, when Mourinho was captured on film poking Barca’s then-assistant boss Tito Vilanova in the eye during a touchline brawl. “So I said to myself, ‘Why not?’ That’s why I’m here because I want to try”. “I have an idea but I need time”.

“One of my dreams would have been to play here like a football player”, he said. The reason we are here is to think what we can do to make this a better club.
