Guardiola understands fans unhappiness over Hart situation

Sport reported that the 33-year-old Chile worldwide “flew into Manchester on Tuesday afternoon” for a medical at the Etihad as City head coach Pep Guardiola is eyeing him to replace unwanted shot stopper Joe Hart.

When the focus shifted to Bravo, who was photographed at Manchester Airport on Tuesday, Guardiola said he would seek clarification with director of football Txiki Begiristain and chief executive Ferran Soriano over the move being finalised as City await the Premier League visit of West Ham on Sunday.

Barcelona said Saturday that the club had a “deal in principle” with City for the 33-year-old player.

The signing of FC Barcelona number one Claudio Bravo from the Catalan side is certain to see a major shift in the first team order of Manchester City.

Joe Hart says helping Manchester City reach the group stage of the Champions League on possibly his last appearance for the club was “a special night”. Hart has been dropped by Guardiola for City’s first three games of the season, preferring Willy Caballero. “I was honest with Joe, the club and myself and that’s what I try to do”, added the City boss.

Hart joined City from Shrewsbury back in 2006 for just £750,000 and is the Citizen’s longest serving player. “It’s not for me to say what it is [next for me]”.

However, Guardiola said he has the chance of being recalled to his starting lineup for Steaua in what could be his final game for the club, with Everton and Sevilla linked with a move for the 29-year-old. I make a lot of mistakes – my decisions as a coach are sometimes good, sometimes bad, but I take decisions. I am so happy that today he played at the level he has.

La Liga team Sevilla and Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested in acquiring Hart’s services this season, but the England worldwide “does not want to move” to any of the two clubs.

Manchester City right-back Bacary Sagna has been ruled out of action until after the global break due to a hamstring injury. I’m finding we’re having a lot of possession in the first halves of games but not creating enough – I don’t like that.

The Argentine scored twice in City’s 4-1 win against Stoke City on Saturday to take his season’s tally to six goals in all competitions.

Told he had a 100 percent pass completion record on the night, Hart laughed and said: “Pigs do fly, don’t they?” If the fans are not happy I can completely understand.
