Gunfire Erupts As Car Hits Ferguson Protester
Police in Ferguson, Missouri are investigating an incident on Tuesday night that caused an abrupt end to a protest marking the second anniversary of the death of Michael Brown.

In the footage captured by frequent protester Heather De Mian, a man is standing in the middle of the street right before a vehicle strikes him.
Witness Sharon Cowan says the man appeared to be badly injured and was put into a private auto to be taken to a hospital. But a video that was, at the time, live streaming showed a almost one minute break between when the person was hit by the vehicle and when the shots were fired.
Despite peaceful protests earlier in the day, the mood changed when a pedestrian was hit by a speeding auto.

FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) – Gunshots rang out but apparently hit no one after a vehicle struck a protester during a peaceful demonstration in Ferguson, Missouri, on the second anniversary of Michael Brown’s death.

As for the hit-and-run victim, he was taken to a local hospital in an unknown vehicle.
After the vehicle hit the protester, the article states,”W$3 itnesses said, several protesters pulled out guns and began chasing and firing at the fleeing auto”. Ferguson police do not believe the protestor was intentionally hit, according to a statement given to the St. Louis Post Dispatch by Jeff Small, Ferguson spokesperson. Reports state that by 10 p.m. the commotion was settled, and everyone had left. No arrests were made.
Michael Brown death culminated in violent protests in Ferguson. Also Tuesday night, in St. Louis, a production of the musical “Aida” at The Muny in Forest Park was disrupted for about 25 minutes by about 40 protesters. He resigned in November 2014. “This color is not a disease”.

The 2014 shooting also led to a Justice Department investigation that found patterns of racial bias in Ferguson’s police and municipal court system.
