Police said he ambushed a police sergeant as she sat in her vehicle, shot two people as he was fleeing police, fired into a auto, killing a 25-year-old woman and injuring a man, and wounded another officer before police killed him in an alley.
Two Philadelphia police officers and a University of Pennsylvania police officer then chased him into an alley, where the university officer was wounded and Glenn was fatally shot.
The police commissioner says the suspect walked up to Sargeant Sylvia Young’s police auto and opened fire just before midnight then fled and shot into a nearby bar – hitting a security guard. He was alert and talking to officers after the shooting, police say, and was also taken to JPS.

Young, Miller and the other victims, who have not been identified, are being treated at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Both Young and Miller are in the hospital in stable condition. “If an individual can harm a law-enforcement officer they can harm just about anybody, and that’s what he did”, the commissioner said.
Mayor Jim Kenney praised police officers and urged them to wear their protective vests.
