Other disturbing evidences included his blog post about Virginia gunman, Vester Lee Flanagan, where he admired the shooter for murdering newswoman and the cameraman, while they were still on air.
“Every time something like this happens, they talk about it and nothing is done”, Mercer said.
Randy Scroggins said he can’t say Lacey will go back to that classroom, but she’ll be back at school.
She and Harper-Mercer shared an apartment outside Roseburg. But now he’s not so sure: “Suicides may have been their intent all along … that the shooter’s suicide is really an act of violence against his victims’ loved ones”. There have been conflicting accounts of Harper-Mercer’s words inside the classroom, and what he may have meant by them.

“Who are you now that this has happened?” the Rev. Annie Holmes asked the 60 congregants. His parents divorced when he was a teenager and he lived with his mother.
“It was more so saying, ‘You’re going to be meeting your maker, ‘ ” Stephanie Salas said.
His father, Ian Mercer, said he was “just as shocked as everybody” by his son’s actions.

McGowan, 18, managed to stay alive by staying as still as possible and avoiding eye contact with the shooter, his mother recounted.
“Rand was like, ‘Oh my goodness, ‘ and said ‘Thank you Lord!”

A statement from the family of Mr Johnson said he was “proud of himself” to have recently enrolled in college and had “finally found his path”. “If it had rang, he would have been picked out”. Pastors offered grief counseling at their sanctuaries, the fairgrounds and at a Roseburg nonprofit.
