Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale file for divorce, ending nearly 13-year marriage

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale have announced they are calling time on their marriage after 13 years.

Both artists cited irreconcilable differences to end the marriage in the divorce petition. The website says Stefani, with hugely successful music and fashion careers, is worth $80 million. It is likely that their respective net worth will be combined before being split into two equally.

Rumors about Rossdale cheating have been circulating for years, and as the world learned that Stefani was the one to file and she’s seeking to deny him spousal support, it was widely assumed that he’d been busted. Rossdale filed a response shortly thereafter.

“While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment”, the couple told the website in a statement.

Both bands shot to fame at that time with their respective records Tragic Kingdom and Sixteen Stone. She is planning to release a new album in 2015, which is still untitled at the moment. Gwen’s main concern is simply protecting the kids…Gavin was the love of Gwen’s life and she gave it everything she could and really did everything possible to save the marriage.

“She had no choice but to fire the nanny, and she no longer works for them”.

Rossdale is the lead singer of the band Bush.

In an interview with Rolling Stone in 2014, Rossdale talked about his marriage.

“You’re going to get me crying!”

“She’s taught me how to be a better person”, Gavin said.
