After grainy pictures surfaced (they’re always grainy!) of Stefani and Shelton “canoodling” at a Halloween party over the weekend, followed by Stefani’s flying out to Nashville with Shelton for the C.M.A. Awards Wednesday night, a publicist statement was hardly necessary to confirm that the two were romantically involved.
“I needed a bright spot this year”, she said. The cameras then panned to Shelton, who was smiling and laughing at the inevitable barb.
Never mind. That won’t make any sense if you’re younger than 40.
In her appearance on the radio segment, “On Air with Ryan Seacrest”, Stefani previously deflected the assumption saying, “I’m not going to answer that right now, Ryan”.
Confirmation of Shelton and Stefani’s romance didn’t break until just just before the show and didn’t become fodder for the hosts.
