Habs goalie Price out at least six weeks
“Carey met with doctors on Saturday, and on Sunday I was able to confirm that he’d be out at least six weeks”.

The team first said he would be gone for a week, then on Friday RDS reported he would be away for a month.
Carey Price, who took home the NHL’s MVP award last season, is expected to miss a minimum of six weeks as he recovers from a lower body injury, the Canadiens announced Monday.
Price, the NHL’s reigning Most Valuable Player and Vezina Trophy victor as the top goalie, was re-injured on Wednesday in only his third game back after missing the previous nine games with a lower-body injury. Even if they lose Price for a significant period of time, it would be hard for the club to slip enough to fall out of playoff contention – and Price is expected to return by mid-January anyways. Rookie Mike Condon has gotten the nod in Price’s stead and impressed, posting a 8-2-3 record with a 2.19 goals against average and.
The Canadiens have not relied on Price this year almost as much as they have in the past.

With Price out, Dustin Tokarski will serve as Condon’s backup. The Habs (18-4-3) continue to lead the National Hockey League with 39 points.
