Numerous more than 200 accounts WauchulaGhost claims to have commandeered have been officially removed by Twitter.
The hacker emphasized that although links to gay porn were included in several tweets, explicit images were not used, out of respect to the victims and so as not to offend Muslims. “I will DM other followers and hold a conversation, then inform them I am not who they thought I was”.
Twitter further clarified they have deleted more than 125,000 accounts that were found promoting terror and hatred via its channels as part of a drive that began around mid-2015. Some of the accounts have also been suspended since the hacking. “Images are before and after they are defaced”, WauchulaGhost told HuffPost.
Hundreds of accounts owned by IS supporters have had gay pride slogans and gay porn take over their Twitter feeds, with many profile images being changed to a rainbow with “I’m Gay and I’m Proud” written in text. A hacker with the moniker WauchulaGhost started hacking the accounts months ago.
Close to 160 members of the terrorist group recently found their accounts filled with pictures of nude women and texts that read, “I [heart] porn.”, reports Washington Times.
WaunchulaGhost told Newsweek that the objective of the hacking is to support those who lost their lives in Orlando.
“One thing I do want to say is we aren’t using graphic porn and our objective is not to offend Muslims”, WachulaGhost says.
But ISIS has supported and cheered terrorist attacks in multiple countries.
