Hail Coens: Watch The New Coen Brothers’ Hail, Caesar! Trailer
You can hear him every week on The B-Movies Podcast and watch him on the weekly YouTube series Most Craved and What the Flick. The star-studded affair just dropped its first look, and its loaded with all the quirks and eccentricities fans have come to expect from the sibling filmmakers. Their new movie Hail, Caesar! takes place over the course of a single day in the life of an old Hollywood studio fixer named Eddie Mannix (played by Josh Brolin) whose problems become more complicated when a movie star played by George Clooney gets kidnapped. Here’s what composer Carter Burwell had to share on the film’s tone. They arent the brothers most popular films, but I absolutely adore how George Clooney plugs into their particular sense of humor. Earlier, one of the actresses asks his character, “Gonna be a star, Oliver?” to which he responds “Gonna try”. “I haven’t written the music yet, but I’m quite certain it’s actually going to be quite the opposite”.

Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum, Ralph Fiennes, Jonah Hill, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand, Clancy Brown, Christopher Lambert, Robert Picardo and Dolph Lundgren (no, really) are among the rest of the ridiculous cast with Clooney and Brolin; and Hail Caesar! is out in the United Kingdom on February 26 next year.

The Coens produced this under their Mike Zoss Productions banner alongside Working Title Films’ Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan.
