Haley: Trump not going to win GOP nomination
While Trump used his seven Super Tuesday wins to argue that he can unify the Republican Party behind his candidacy, opponents contemplated how to deny the NY businessman the delegates needed to clinch the GOP presidential nomination on a first convention ballot in July.

“Even though Trump won seven states, I was surprised how much the other candidates were able to blunt his success, whether it was Marco Rubio in Minnesota and Virginia, Ted Cruz in Texas, Oklahoma and Alaska, or John Kasich in Vermont”, she said. Hillary Clinton was almost halfway to claiming enough delegates to win the nomination, when you include her superdelegates – the party insiders free to pick either candidate.
“So long as the field remains divided, Donald Trump’s path to the nomination remains more likely, and that would be a disaster for Republicans, for conservatives and for the nation”, he said, referring to Mr Trump as “profane and vulgar”.
The delegate math from Super Tuesday shows how hard it can be to rack up a big lead when states award delegates in proportion to the vote. The Texas Senator had the next best showing of the republicans last night, picking up 209 delegates, 99 of which came from his home state.
Political action committees are reportedly going to spend in excess of $7 million on attack advertisements in the state of Florida, ahead of that state’s March 15 primary, and many familiar Republican faces are denouncing Mr. Trump. Winning those states could boost Trump to a commanding lead in the delegate count, but Florida is Rubio’s home state and OH is home for John Kasich, the state’s governor. “For the candidates who have not yet won a state, who have not racked up significant delegates: I ask you to prayerfully consider our coming together”. Clinton has so far declined to release the text of speeches she delivered to Goldman Sachs, but has insisted that she will be tougher on Wall Street than Sanders. He won big in his home state of Vermont and picked up three more states. But he’s not saying who won his vote on primary day.
That gives Clinton a grand total of 1,055 delegates – including super delegates, who are leading party officials and lawmakers who have endorsed her campaign.
And she struck a populist tone, taking on one of Sanders’ common themes as she told the crowd, “this country belongs to all of us, not just those at the top”.
Rubio, who has seen GOP establishment figures line up behind his campaign especially since Jeb Bush dropped out, has struggled to account for his performance to date.
“If Republicans mount a third-party challenge to Donald Trump, all it does is make Hillary Clinton’s electoral college numbers rise dramatically, ‘ Hudak said”.
“Whether I support (Trump) or not, it’s ultimately up to the voters”. Campaign manager Jeff Weaver says Michigan’s primary later this month will be a “critical showdown” and the senator plans to focus heavily on Clinton’s record on trade in the manufacturing state. “Anything is possible because neither has reached the number of delegates they need to win”.
“Donald Trump pledged to be neutral between Israel and the Palestinians”.

The Republican Party struggled with a new reality Wednesday after voters in a diverse array of states clearly signaled their support for Donald Trump as the party’s nominee.
