Half of Americans would be ’embarrassed’ to have Donald Trump as president
Even though Trump and Cruz were dominating the polls right now, it was Rubio who has the best chance of winning general elections as per 66% of the people polled through Quinnipiac.

Cruz has been steadily climbing and overtaking Trump in Iowa, and there is some evidence that the Texas senator is managing to perform similarly nationally.
Moreover, many of those silent Trump supporters are highly educated: among potential voters with a bachelor’s degree or higher, the G.O.P. front-runner performed 10 percent better online than he did in live telephone polls. Among those Republicans who say they watched, 33% say Trump did the best job in the debate, 28% Cruz, 13% Rubio. Cruz has seen some increase on that last measure since the beginning of the month, but Trump still wins it in a walk. “He did not have the most endorsements, but what he had was grassroots support”. Almost half (46 percent) of Republican voters without a degree support Trump, compared to college graduates at 27 percent.
Cruz leads Trump 31/30 with men, but Trump more than makes up for that with a 26/17 lead among women.
“It’s probably going to come down to me against him”, Trump told NBC.
Donald Trump keeps a big lead in New Hampshire, where he continues to draw support across the board from conservatives and moderates, from Republicans and the independents who can participate in that primary. Although this may seem like good news for Republicans, the fact is that Cruz is one of the most extreme candidates in the race. And also in New Hampshire as in Iowa, his supporters call themselves firmly decided, with a plurality of 47 percent saying so, well above the overall number of 32 percent across all voters. Trump has gained six points, Rubio four points, and Bush two.
It still remains, however, that the GOP presidential clown bus does not have anything much better to offer than Donald Trump, since he has succeeded in dragging the rest of them down to his level. Imagine if Romney et al. decide they’re staying put until February 2nd and then a poll drops in New Hampshire in mid-January showing Christie at 18 percent, Rubio at 15, and Jeb at 14.
A Quinnipiac University poll released Tuesday found a tighter race between Trump and Cruz, a finding that clashes with most other recent polling on the national race.
For the first time, Cruz ties Trump in SC, and he’s also tied for second with Rubio in the Florida senator’s home state, according to a memo on the three surveys, which were conducted after last week’s debate. They feel these things “need to be discussed”.
Donald Trump’s chances, however, are a different story. Where did Hillary go, they had to start the debate without her. I know where she went, it’s disgusting, i don’t want to talk about it.

But Christie is dying on the vine in SC and Florida, with 2 percent and 3 percent in SC and Florida, respectively.
