Half Would Feel Embarrassed by Trump Presidency
However, there were six other polls released over the weekend.

Rubio had half Cruz’s score and Ben Carson was just behind him with 10 percent. But 58% of those who name a candidate say they might change their mind.
As Trump would say, that lead is HUGE.
It’s also an improvement for Christie, who was at 2 percent when Quinnipiac last did a national poll of Republicans in November. That probably helped some candidates, notably Christie, more than others. He’s now in mid-single digits nationally.
Matched up against Democrats Hillary Clinton and Vermont Sen.
Marco Rubio holds steady in Iowa, at 12 percent and was up from 11 percent last month. No other candidate received more than 7 percent (Bush).
Come to think of it, Trump is the closest to a Patriots fan in the bunch. “Hitting 40 percent is a good sign for Cruz, but he still has to maintain that for another six weeks”. Add up the Trump/Cruz/Carson percentages, and moreover you get 62%. Republicans with a high school education or less tended to favor Trump on the phone over online.
The FOX News poll also asked respondents for the second choice.
Only 23 percent of all voters would be proud to have Trump as president.
While Trump tops the GOP field with 28 percent of the vote, followed by U.S. Sen.
Ted Cruz’s supporters are a little less firmly decided, and more say they “probably won’t change”, as opposed to being decided. She led Mr. Rubio by 1 point in a head-to-head match-up, 44 percent to 43 percent, and was tied with Mr. Cruz at 44 percent apiece. Ohio Governor John Kasich rounds up the top five with 8%, while the remaining candidates garnered 6% or less.
Bush took to Twitter himself on Tuesday to fire back at Trump, suggesting that he is getting under the Republican front-runner’s skin.
35 – 33 percent for Cruz.
Trump said that winning Iowa is crucial. Thirty percent said Bush-who aggressively attacked Trump during the debate-lost.
Neither are out-and-out liked by voters.
Donald Trump, the national front-runner, keeps his big lead in two of the three early states of New Hampshire and SC, but now Texas Sen. The Herald’s polling results reflect that distinction. Yet Bush can’t break 10 percent in the polls.
“That’s one of those questions that I think you have to answer in a thoughtful way if you’re running for president of the United States”, Bush said.

The Republican poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percentage points while the Democratic poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.6 percentage points. Trump won in almost every political and social/religious demographic. Half say they’d be embarrassed to have the former reality TV star as the country’s leader. Of those who said they were “very conservative” socially and/or religiously, 29 percent backed Cruz, while Trump received 27-percent support. The next primary will take place on February 20 in SC, where the GOP primary voters are deeply conservative – and, I suspect, likely to give Cruz first place.
