Halo 5: Forge is Coming to Windows 10 in September

The best part is that Halo 5: Forge is going to arrive as a free download on Windows.

For those not familiar with this product, Halo 5: Forge is basically a map maker for Halo 5: Guardians for Xbox One, a way for enthusiasts to create new levels for the game.

Test and Play with Friends – Enlist the help of Friends to help build, test, and play your Forge creations on Windows 10. It even has support for mouse and keyboard for refined object placement, support for 4K displays is included as well aside from the ability to host and play custom matches for up to 16 players.

Are you looking forward to the upcoming Halo 5 releases? French also stated that free content for Halo 5 on the Xbox One will be coming to Windows 10 PC as well. The company will also release Anvil’s Legacy on the same day which is pretty sweet.

343 Studios has finally announced when you can use Forge, the map editor for Halo 5 on Windows 10 PCs. Additionally, the expansion introduces three new weapons (one of which is the Magnum pictured above; see them all here), as well as new sound-dampener attachments, and weapon and armor skins, among other things. Combined with Halo 5: Forge on Windows 10 PC, the new content browser will let users browse, access and enjoy content from both PC and console Forgers, regardless of which system it was originally created on.

Anvil’s Legacy also adds new maps, including Mercy (Arena) and Temple (Warzone).

Mercy is a new Arena multiplayer map while Temple boasts a “large-scale battleground built with Warzone Assault mode in mind”.
