‘Halo 5’ Forge Mode is coming to PC with some exclusives
Halo 5’s Forge mode is one of the game’s best features, allowing users to come up with all kinds of insane and innovative creations … like this entire gametype that revolves around flipping pancakes; or this recreation of Harry Potter’s fictional sport ofQuidditch.

Head of Xbox Phil Spencer’s not super convincing explanation for this is that Halo 5 was designed for the Xbox One, so that’s where it will stay.
Although Microsoft’s brought over other Xbox One exclusives to the PC of late (Gears of War, Quantum Break), the company’s been pretty adamant that Halo 5 won’t make it over.
Microsoft’s still very gung-ho on paper about trying to really support the PC, but seems to be testing and teasing the water instead of just diving in, which is why it should surprise no one that 343 have announced that the PC will be getting “Halo 5”.well, part of it, anyway. Now, the developer is looking at bringing an even bigger group of players into the game thanks to an upcoming free update for Windows 10 users.

Keyboard & Mouse Support – For the first time ever, Forgers will have the option of using a keyboard & mouse allowing for more precision and control than ever before. The announcement also states that you’ll be able to “enlist the help of friends to help build, test, and play your Forge creations on Windows 10”. Who knows, maybe if Forge on PC becomes popular enough, Microsoft might consider releasing its flagship FPS for Windows 10 users.
“Forge on the PC will finally give the mouse/keyboard editing precision the community has always been clamoring for”, Forge designer Tom French said. Being referred to as ‘Forge – Halo 5: Guardians Edition’, players can affectively create their levels on a Windows 10 machine and then publish it directly to the Xbox One.

343 Industries and Microsoft are aiming to give more creative power to the Halo community. Forge for Windows 10 might even pave the way for future Halo iterations on PC.
