Halo 5: Guardians Launch TV Commercial Video Shows New Action

Parts of these surprises are supposedly being teased out in the current Halo 5 TV commercials, one of which depicts Master Chief as dead. Halo 5: Guardians is a big game, but they didn’t want to hold back Colter’s Hollywood career. That team took the issues around the launch of Master Chief Collection, it kind of hit them in the heart, because it’s Halo Nation. Guardians arrives on store shelves on October 27th.

The campaign also includes a “Visualizer” that pulls together fan conversation on social media into a 3D particle animated image.

A live-action trailer for Halo 5: Guardians leaked onto YouTube today. The “unofficial story” was that Agent Locke was ordered by the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) and Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) to hunt the still-alive Master Chief who, despite being a great warrior, has disobeyed orders and has committed a few yet undisclosed crimes. Still, however, we have no idea what is driving him.

Master Chief was down, but he wasn’t out. The trailer sets up the premise of Spartan Locke vs the Master Chief even further with an outside party narrating. “The only thing worse than losing a hero is watching him turn against us”. “And that sort of led us in the direction of building up the two squads, each of which has four Spartans that you can control, which would enable us to support seamless drop-in, drop-out cooperative play”. One of the big creative goals that we had for Halo 5 was to bring that into focus and support it through the story.
