Hammers table £20m Ayew bid

West Ham United are ready to make their interest in Swansea City’s Andre Ayew known and will launch a £20 million offer for the African attacker this week according to The Daily Mail.

The Hammers Co-chairman David Sullivan revealed yesterday that the club had opened discussions with Swansea for their key man Ayew. Rebuffed by Michy Batshuayi, 23, who chose to move to Chelsea earlier in the summer, and Lyon over Alexandre Lacazette, 25, Slaven Bilic has turned to the Ghanaian global who scored twelve Premier League goals last season.

Dede moved to the Liberty Stadium on a free transfer from Olympique de Marseille, surprising observers who had expected that he would join one of Europe’s biggest clubs with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal both linked to his signature.

Swansea hope to sign two strikers before the close of the summer transfer window and are interested in signing Sevilla forward Fernando Llorente.

West Ham, who could sell Diafra Sakho to West Brom this summer should the deal for Ayew be confirmed, are also set to confirm the loan signing of Argentina Under-23 striker Jonathan Calleri this week.
