The Beatles fans all over the world are rejoicing about their Christmas present from the music industry as the classic albums by the group will be available on streaming services. Apple’s streaming service, Apple Music, is one of nine streaming services that are expected to have the Beatles catalog available beginning on Christmas Eve. Swift was insistent that Spotify limit access to her songs to paid subscribers only, and when Spotify refused, she pulled her catalog and lashed out at streaming in general as a “grand experiment”.

The Billboard magazine reported last week that Beatles’ music was coming to a streaming service, but did not specify which one.

The Beatles were the most high-profile artist holdout from streaming services. Adele’s “Hello” has been streamed nearly 278 million times in just seven weeks. In the first half of 2015, online streaming grew to 32 per cent of all music sales in the U.S., making up for shrinking purchases of CDs and digital singles, according to a report from the Recording Industry Association of America.

Before this new deal, the Beatles music was only available digitally via MP3 format in iTunes. It is important to add that Spotify will stream the band’s music for free.
