His crew has been around the Texans for two weeks.
On Monday August. 3, eight days before the first episode, not even “Hard Knocks” was spared from the clandestine way the Texans handle injuries. From cameras to additional shoots, sunblock and a viewing party I talked with Furman Tuesday afternoon about O’Brien’s portrayal on the show. How do you think he comes across in the show? O’Brien coaches with a lot of energy and passion and sometimes that includes using, uh, “colorful” language. Fourteen robotic cameras are dispersed through O’Brien’s office, general manager Rick Smith’s office, the staff meeting room and four different position group rooms.
It’s not officially football season until Hard Knocks rears it’s finely produced head in the preseason. I like that thought. This morning, O’Brien sat down with director Matt Dissinger to review the show and make sure nothing in it affected their competitive advantage. Yep, that’d be a bunch of teen entrepreneurs we’re talking about, and apparently some manner of YouTube young business sensation is going to stop by to wish them all luck.
