James Harden led all scorers with 34 points as the Rockets won their second game in a row, blasting past the Minnesota Timberwolves 129-105 on Monday.

“It’s definitely disappointing. We see from the get-go we came out flat”, Muhammad said.

The report continued: “Sources say Morey, whose contract runs through the 2017-18 season, ‎also faces some uncertainty in the wake of the Rockets’ struggles”. Harden scored 20 of his 40 points in the fourth quarter on Sunday and averaged 28 points and 12.5 assists in two previous games against Minnesota this season.ABOUT THE TIMBERWOLVES (28-52): Finishing the season strong and taking some momentum into the summer is the latest goal for the young Minnesota team, and sweeping a road trip that included Portland, Sacramento and Golden State certainly gives the team confidence. Howard and Harden set the tone from the opening tip, hammering the Wolves in the paint and racking up 38 points in the first quarter.

-With 12 points Karl-Anthony Towns passed Christian Laettner (1992-93) to become the highest-scoring rookie in team history.

And while those numbers aren’t that different, consider that most of the Wolves best wins have come on the road (Chicago, Atlanta, the L.A. Clippers, Oklahoma City, Memphis, Golden State). It was a startling position to be in for a team that advanced to the Western Conference finals last season, but Harden and Howard made sure the Rockets would head to their season finale against Sacramento on Wednesday with something to play for.

Rockets owner Leslie Alexander has publicly acknowledged that Bickerstaff – who replaced Kevin McHale in an interim role just 11 games into this season – would have to be assessed at season’s end. Brewer played with a sleeve on his bothersome right elbow…. Towns how has 1,475 points. Minnesota stays at home for its final game of 2015-16, with the New Orleans Pelicans coming to Target Center on Wednesday.
