Harden’s woes continue as Rockets lose to Heat, fall to 0-3

The Rockets have stumbled into a few unfortunate history with their loss to the Heat tonight.

Hassan Whiteside had 25 points and 15 rebounds, Chris Bosh scored all 10 of his points in the fourth and the Heat went on to beat the Houston Rockets 109-89 on Sunday night.

How wild was it? “There were a few moments of silence”. I just had so much built in inside of me it just kind of erupted. “But it’s harsh reality… and it just comes out the way it comes out”.

“I have nothing to complain about in my life”, said Spoelstra with a smile.

The Heat got an angry halftime talk from tri-captain Udonis Haslem, and responded. However, it was announced by the team after the game that Whiteside had received four stitches above his left eye but is expected to be just fine. Starting center Dwight Howard also missed the game. Serge Ibaka had 18 points, seven rebounds and five blocks, and Russell Westbrook had 15 points, nine rebounds and eight assists for the Thunder, who have won their first three games.

With the win, Miami has improved to 2-1 while Houston fell to 0-3 on the season.

Consecutive 3-pointers from guard Patrick Beverly and guard Jason Terry negated the early Miami comeback and helped Houston open the second quarter with 10 unanswered points.

Dwyane Wade added 20 points and Luol Deng 14 for Miami. “That’s the kind of mindset we’ve got every game”. Behind Thornton’s 19 first-half points, Houston built an early double-digit lead.

And coach Erik Spoelstra celebrated his 45th birthday. The Heat then turned the game around. “Different guys maybe will be counted on different nights, different contributions from one half to another”.

Bosh, Miami’s second-leading scorer coming in, didn’t score until he hit a three-pointer with 10:06 to play.

Next up for the Heat is a November 3 matchup at home against the Atlanta Hawks.

Harden’s latest infraction came when he said he was about to start cookin’ again last week on Instagram. But we kept fighting.

Immediately after the loss I ran a quick query against the Basketball Reference database to see if in fact any team had started the season by losing three straight by 20 points each.
