Harden should’ve been called for foul on winning shot

Stephen Curry is expected to play today in Game 4 of Golden State’s first-round series against Houston.

Curry missed the last two games after spraining his ankle in Game 1. The Golden State Warriors were able to take care of Houston without Curry in Game 2, but the Rockets took Game 3 as Golden State shot just 43 percent from the field.

Kerr said Curry reported no pain after the practice, though some lingering discomfort remains in the ankle that has undergone two previous surgeries. It’s kind of to be expected, and I see it as this is my playoff thing. He didn’t have any pain this morning or after the workouts.

“It’s tough”, Curry said.

While many thought the Warriors would sweep Houston in four game even without Curry, Kerr and his players will gladly welcome the MVP back to the lineup.

Warriors update: After practicing Saturday, including 5-on-5 drills, without incident, it appears that Curry will be ready to go Sunday. “It’s stable. There’s no swelling and I can do anything I need to do”. This is the same protocol the Warriors followed at Oracle Arena before Game 2, when Curry cut short his pregame routine and walked off the court frowning and shaking his head.

The Rockets put themselves back in the series after the game 3 win on a James Harden fall away jumper, that the National Basketball Association later said shouldn’t have counted because he pushed back. “So we’re expecting him to play, but we’ll see how he is (Sunday) morning”.

The absence of Stephen Curry has kept the Houston Rockets relevant, but the window might be closing on their significance to this postseason. Kerr could attack him with aggressive measures or just play straight up one-on-one and take that chance. “I care about that turnover, but I cost us the game way before then”. The Warriors officially listed Curry as probable for Sunday’s game. The Warriors will be back to their nearly unstoppable offense, their comfortable switches and traps on defense and only some insane shooting game from the Rockets, with Harden getting love all around or not, can stop this series from going back to the Bay Area with a 3-1 lead in the hands of the Warriors. “If I would have got the green light I definitely would have played and felt confident there”. Both were starters for a 33-win Tar Heels team that won the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season and tournament titles, and lost to Villanova on a last-second shot in the NCAA championship game.
