He claimed that he had been abducted by unidentified persons who apparently seemed like policemen in plainclothes and had detained him in a auto repeatedly threatening him with dire consequences if he continued with his pro-reservation agitation. “Despite our reluctance to hear the plea at night, you insisted that it was urgent and pertained to somebody’s life, so we took it up”, the court told Hardik’s lawyer M.B. Mangukia. He told the court that he had been freed on Wednesday afternoon about 120 kms from Ahmedabad. “The High Court was looking into it”.
