Warner Bros.is making sure Margot Robbie feels at home after her head-turning performance in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad. This means that Robbie will be able to get her own films produced, through her LuckyChap Entertainment production company, with WB’s help. Alongside this exciting news, Robbie has signed a first-look deal for a Tonya Harding biopic, I, Tonya, where she will play the disgraced figure skater.

THR reports Margot Robbie will star and executive produce the Harley Quinn movie which will feature other DC heroines.
It will have helped no end that “Suicide Squad”, despite its bad reviews, has raked in the cash for Warner Bros – it now stands at a $701 million gross worldwide. Emerging Film Directors Workshop earlier this year as a program to increase female voices, among other under-represented sectors, which was spearheaded by the studio’s president, creative development and worldwide production Greg Silverman.
The movie would also compliment Warners” forthcoming “Wonder Woman’ stand-alone, starring Gal Gadot in the lead, not to mention bolstering DC’s soon-to-be expanding cinematic universe, against its rival Marvel, run by Disney.

Warner Bros.is also working on Ocean’s Ocho, a female-centric take on the comedy heist movie Ocean’s Eleven that will feature an A-list female cast.
