Harold Brantley, Walter Brady dismissed for off-field reasons
As Gabe DeArmond of PowerMizzou.com first reported and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch’s Dave Matter later confirmed on Wednesday, the Missouri Tigers have dismissed defensive tackle Harold Brantley and defensive end Walter Brady from the program.

In short, these are two huge loses for a team that needed all the help it could get this season.
Barry Odom’s team is set to begin camp tomorrow in Columbia.
Despite the losses of Brantley and Brady, the Missouri defensive line is still in good shape with run-stuffing defensive tackle Josh Augusta and second team All-SEC defensive end Charles Harris back after starting last season. Brantley, an honorable mention All-SEC pick in 2014, missed all of last season due to injuries sustained in a preseason vehicle accident. In 2015, he stepped up for Brantley’s absence by recording 12 tackles for loss and seven sacks during his true freshman year.

Missouri’s strength entering this season was their defensive line but it lost two players who were expected to be significant contributors this year in the first year with Odom as the head coach. He stepped up for the Tigers as the season went on, finishing with 39 total tackles and 7 sacks.
