Harrison Ford goes nearly unnoticed at ‘Star Wars’ screening

The worldwide theatrical premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a paltry five days away, and many film studios have been vying for that coveted spot for their film’s trailers to air in front of Episode VII.

The film, the seventh in the series, has reunited original stars including Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher. Curiously, as of their report from yesterday, they do not know if the screening will take place at the El Captain Theater, the traditional location for Disney premieres, or the Chinese Theater across the way, where fans are already lined up for Thursday night’s first public screenings.

Another “Star Wars” fan, Robert Ballecer, also tweeted his photo.

The fans must log at least 24 hours in line to gain entry to the theater’s first public showing of the film, but those who spend more time in line will earn preferential seat selection.

On Dec. 5, which was 12 days prior the film release, fans from the group called “The Line Awakens” reportedly set up their camp beside the historic Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, according to CNN.

Ridley, who had only played bit parts before securing the role of Rey, said she lived a normal life despite the Star Wars madness, and was usually to be found “going to the gym on the bus” rather than on a red carpet.

“It’s a tradition and I would do it even if the movie was bad”. Noise from this week’s tent construction made it hard to sleep, but it’s all good, said Ritter, “Lucasfilm bought us pizza, so that was nice”.

Lavonne Dominguez, who has been in the queue since last Friday, said is was important to be somewhere that would give her a sense of the occasion. He noted “The Force Awakens” debut is “triple the magnitude of a typical premiere”.
