The Harry Potter and the Cursed Child script has become the fastest-selling book in the United Kingdom this decade. According to Rowling, the epic five-hour play brings Harry’s story to an end, and she has no plan to revive the character for a new series of books.

Excitement. Fans flock to get their copy at Dymocks in Sydney.

Booktopia’s head of marketing John Purcell said the online business was sold out despite placing four bulk orders of more than 8,000 copies. “My gut is telling me he’s gonna stick around to make Cursed Child as well”.

“Fantastic Beasts” tells the story of Newt Scamander, a character mentioned only in passing in the Potter books.

In an interview Entertainment Weekly magazine, he said: “My favourite film is probably the finale – “Deathly Hallows: Part 2”.

Meanwhile, in the UK, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has become the fastest-selling novel in more than a decade. “So, I’m thrilled to see it realised so beautifully but, no, Harry is done now”. Growing up with Harry Potter meant growing up with an all-consuming desire to live in that magical world full of chocolate frogs, flying broomsticks, and the ability to brew love potions. And so it comes to pass, with Fantastic Beasts 2 (or whatever it ends up being called) already set to release on the 16th of November 2016.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows sold 1.8 million copies of the children’s edition, and 780,000 copies of the adult edition in July 2007.

The second movie in the Harry Potter spin-off series “Fantastic Beasts” will be released in November 2018, Hollywood movie studio Warner Bros said on Wednesday, promising “much more on the horizon” from the boy-wizard franchise.

Based on her 2001 novel by the same name, the story follows Newt Scamander, a “magizoologist” on a mission to catalogue other-worldy creatures in NY.
