J.K. Rowling is returning to the world of Harry Potter as the screenwriter of the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel. The follow-up is scheduled to open November 16, 2018. Plus, thanks to this year’s new play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Pottermania isn’t going anywhere.

Last week, Barnes & Noble said the script book was the USA retail book sellers’ most pre-ordered book since “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”.
We asked the Theory of Everything Oscar victor which Harry Potter book and film were his favorites in the saga that serve as the foundation for his spin-off prequel film. Some fans are upset that the book isn’t so much a book as it is a script based on the play now in production in London.
The film stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, a wizarding writer who must track down the said fantastical beasts, who are on the loose. So she’s quite an interesting character to play – very vivacious and lively, yet very centered and aware.
Meanwhile, in the UK, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has become the fastest-selling novel in more than a decade.
But because of Harry Potter’s global fan base, “we really hope to take this play to as many places as it’s feasible to take it”, Rowling said.
Harry Potter took the world by storm almost 20 years ago – and today, so many people who grew up on the series are tying the knot and infusing their love of Harry Potter into their weddings.
The first film starring Eddie Redmayne – who plays a wizard in 1920s NY – is still three months away.
The Fantastic Beasts series was always planned as a trilogy, so the announcement of a sequel shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. It is yet to be released in theaters this November 18, 2016.
