‘Harry Potter’ magic returns to area bookstores this weekend

The play has been on stage in London’s West End theatre district since June, and the book (it is a script treatment, not a novel) is the next way the new story satiates the enormous appetite of Potter fans.

CEO of Crossword Bookstores, Mr. Kinjal Shah said, “We did the poll to understand the kind of impact Harry Potter has had in India in the run up to the launch of the eighth book”.

The latest chapter in J.K. Rowling’s magical wizarding series hits store shelves July 31 – Harry Potter’s birthday – and Denver area booksellers are pulling out all the stops to celebrate its release.

She says she can’t wait for the new book’s release. “They want people to come in and have it be a wide-eyed surprise”.

Unlike earlier release parties, they’re also anticipating guests of all ages now that the original Harry Potter fans are all grown up. “This marks the launch of a whole new series, and we are excited about the same”, Shah concluded.

Many critics argue the social effects of the “Harry Potter” books are overblown and that readers, in fact, do not graduate to explore other works.

On Saturday, midnight book release parties are planned in USA and United Kingdom stores, evoking the excitement from a decade ago when fans could not wait to devour the latest novel.

“We have plenty of books”, said Kristen Gilligan, incoming owner of Tattered Cover Book Store, which has already started selling vouchers in-store to reserve copies. Fans are encouraged to show up in full costume for a contest and the event will include “Harry Potter” trivia, face-painting and photo booths.

The poll was made open to 9 years old children, to 30 years old young adults.

Fans who pre-order the book by midnight Saturday can purchase the book for $20.99, Reynolds said. Chief merchandising officer Mary Amicucci said that the love for Potter is “truly multigenerational”. A script rather than a narrative novel, it is being published a day after the official opening of the London stage production of the same name.
