MUGGLES, squibs, witches and wizards are all invited to Waterstones in Barnstaple this Saturday for a Harry Potter party in honour of the midnight release of JK Rowling’s latest book Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – Parts I and II.

It feels as if time has stood still at Lello, a Gothic Revival style bookstore in the historic centre of Porto, whose heady “olde worlde” ambiance inspired some of the scenes for Harry Potter.
The director of Harry Potter And The Cursed Child says he would not be anxious if Daniel Radcliffe came to see the show – because he thinks the actor would be “really pleased” by his character’s evolution.
The plotline of the new story is set 19 years after the last Harry Potter adventure. “We’ll have the books available for sale at midnight”.
Speaking about the reason behind the survey, Kinjal Shah, CEO, Crossword Bookstores, said, “We did the poll to understand the kind of impact Harry Potter has had in India in the run up to the launch of the eighth book”.
Midnight of July 30, Saturday night, is said to be one of the magical nights in the Harry Potter world and for the avid fans out there.
In the evening, the store will host a party beginning at 9 p.m., with games, food and what Droke-Dickinson calls “activities for rabid “Harry Potter” fans”, including challenges in which fans can earn points for their houses, with prizes for the winning house.
Movies and merchandise followed, of course, but at its core, the Harry Potter phenomenon is about a good story well told in ink on paper and about the enduring joy of reading.
There is a lot to look forward to on July 31 for the release of the “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”. Harry is now “an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children”.
Harry and his wife Ginny Weasley wave their youngest son Albus Severus off to their old wizarding school, Hogwarts – but once there, Albus struggles with the weight of his family legacy and goes to extreme and risky lengths to right the wrongs of the past. “I could easily see young fans adapting to the format and using it to act out the play on their own”.

Rowling agreed to publish the script to meet public demand after appeals from fans who couldn’t get to London to see the play, publishers said earlier this year. She’s planning a costumed birthday party for later this fall, and everyone has to come as a Harry Potter character.
