FC Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has finally arrived at Manchester to undergo medical with English Premier League giants Manchester City on Tuesday (August 23).
Guardiola confirmed Bravo’s imminent arrival when asked about Bravo at a news conference, saying: “I can not deny what everyone knows”. “After I will answer about a player who at the moment is not our player”.
The arrival of Bravo to the Citizens will cast further doubts on the future of Joe Hart, who was a regular starter in nearly 350 matches with the English club.
City have not commented on the development, but it is understood Bravo has been told he can leave Barcelona.
Guardiola has dropped Hart for the opening three matches of the season, preferring Willy Caballero in goal due to concerns over the England international’s ability with the ball at his feet.
With the end of the of the summer transfer window only a week away, there is now intense speculation about where Hart might end up. Certainly when Joe joins us because he’ll be in the squad.”If I can get the chance to go and see Pep I’d like to listen to him anyway”.
Guardiola said: “I can not deny what everybody knows”.
Manchester City’s teenage forward Kelechi Iheanacho says he does not feel under pressure from Sergio Aguero. “The situation with Joe I think I have spoken clearly about in the last two press conferences”.
“But I have a lot of respect for the opponent and I know what happens in football”.
