St. Louis is 72-40 overall, at 32 over. The game gets underway at 7:10 p.m. ET on Tuesday, August 11 and will air on RTRM and SNY. Paulsen, one of only two Rockies to reach second base, was immediately erased when second baseman D.J. LeMahieu lined into a double play.

Soler extended his hitting streak to 10, and Chicago took advantage of three errors along with some wild pitching on the way to yet another win. The Rockies have scored eight runs in their last three games and four or more runs in five of their last eight games.

Rockies: RHP Chad Bettis (right elbow inflammation) threw a 35-pitch bullpen session on Tuesday that Weiss said was “encouraging”. The right-hander hadn’t completed seven innings since a complete-game victory over the Chicago White Sox on May 25.

Over two seasons with the Sooners, Gray went 18-7, including a 10-win season in 2013, with a 2.32 ERA and 251 strikeouts, which ranks 11th all-time at OU, in 229 innings pitched.

“They said his fastball has that second-gear life”, Cuddyer said. Mike Moustakas snapped an 0-for-18 drought with a homer to right field with Kendrys Morales aboard in the same inning. It was Gonzalez’s 13th long ball since the All-Star break. He struck out eight, tying his season high. Granderson drew a bases-loaded walk as a pinch-hitter and Lagares, who went 3-for-5, hit a two-run double. Mets 1B Lucas Duda sat out with a sore back and RF Curtis Granderson got the night off against Rockies LHP Chris Rusin. Blackmon added four hits, including two doubles.

That preserved the slim lead Harvey got in the bottom of the sixth, when the Mets finally broke through against Colorado starter Chris Rusin. He entered in a double switch during the seventh inning.

Tyler Clippard pitched a ideal eighth and Jeurys Familia notched his 31st save with a 1-2-3 ninth. Suzuki scored easily and the Twins were able to smile and dance.

The Mets will start the stretch of 10 games at home with Jon Niese, who has won three of his last four starts.

Rodon (5-4) had struggled in his previous four starts, going 1-2 with a 9.33 ERA.

Celebrating his 26th birthday, Kahnle struck out two, including Bryce Harper to end the game, in his first save opportunity of the season as Colorado earned a come-from-behind 5-4 win over the Nationals.

Reyes, wearing his familiar No. 7 and occupying his usual spot atop the order, received a warm ovation upon stepping to the plate in the top of the first inning Monday night. Not making their road trip any easier, Washington will head to California and will have to face the World Champion San Francisco Giants (30-23 at home) for four games, and will have to face ace Madison Bumgarner in the finale on Sunday, who is never an easy task.

Gray gave up just one hit, Travis d’Arnaud’s early homer, in his second major league start. Michael Cuddyer singled with one out.

Carl Crawford hit a three-run shot in the ninth off Doug Fister, the first pinch-hit homer of his career.

Threw a first-pitch strike 14 of 22 times. Xavier Cedeno got his first save. Particularly Justin Miller, Rafael Betancourt, Tommy Kahnle and Yohan Flande, who combined for 3⅔ innings of scoreless relief in key portions of the game.
