Harvick Scores Bristol Win
“And to have Busch Beer on the auto – we’ve had crummy luck with these guys on the vehicle, and so I’m just really happy for Busch and Jimmy John’s and really proud of these guys on the No. 4 team”. Originally scheduled to start Saturday night, the drivers were only able to compete for less than 40 laps before the race was red-flagged due to rain.

The victory was Harvick’s second of the season and second at Bristol – his first in 11 years.
Harvick had 13 top-10 finishes in the 18 races since winning at Phoenix in March.
“We’ve had the performance that we’ve needed in the cars nearly every week and it’s been one of those deals where things didn’t go exactly right”.
More rain was forecast for the Bristol area throughout the night.
“Thanks guys, awesome job”, Harvick said after checking out from the field over the last 51 laps.
Harvick enticed his vehicle owner and retiring driver Tony Stewart to do burnouts with him to celebrate the three-time champions last race at Bristol.
Kevin Harvick picked up his second win of the season, holding off a charging Ricky Stenhouse Jr.to win the rescheduled Bristol night race.
Kyle Busch, Hamlin’s Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, led 256 laps, but was involved in a four-car wreck on Lap 357 of the 500-lap race.
“I wanted him (Stewart) to go on a Victory Lap with me and say goodbye to his fans one last time, but that was pretty cool doing burnouts with him”, Harvick said of the double burnout with Stewart.
Busch was angered by his equipment failure and said the race shop “was going to hear about it Tuesday”.
That was the sentiment of many.
A scheduled 1 p.m. resumption of Saturday night’s race was further delayed by a storm that started around 12:15 p.m. Sunday.
Brad Keselowski sustained damage in the same lap-372 accident that sidelined Kurt Busch, but he was able to coax his vehicle to the end of the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Harvick went on to lead most of the remaining laps of the race. Also see. Back then he would pass. Britney’s then house junior matched his best Bristol finish lending second in the Roush Fenway racing Ford himself. In the final field of twelve drivers, Dillon, who is third in the points’ standings, is the leading points’ getter among the next nine who are now eligible based on points.
THEY SAID IT: “The person that’s really the biggest moron out there is the spotter of the 46 and driver of the 46 (Justin Allgaier)”. Really just one of father racetrack for the effort that they made this week to really get that monitors working so that we had multiple groups of racing I think. Thats stupid, said Kyle Busch, who wrecked on lap 373 after leading 258 laps. Fast facts: Brad Keselowski leads the standings as the Chase nears, with Kevin Harvick nine points back and Kurt Busch 38 points behind.
“I missed the bottom groove by a few inches”, Busch said.
Oh, yeah, one other thing champions do: They get hot when the playoffs get near. That long-waited victory could very well come next weekend at Michigan International Speedway.
