Hashim Amla to make IPL debut soon
Kings XI Punjab were dealt a huge blow when their most consistent batsman Shaun Marsh was ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2016 season on Monday due to a back injury.

He had an average outing in the recently concluded World T20 in India where South Africa failed to qualify for the semifinals.
According to ESPNcricinfo, the 32-year-old prolific batsman is expected to join the side soon as clearances for his stint with the team have been obtained. Having picked up a back injury in Kings XI’s loss against Kolkata Knight Riders, Marsh finally capitulated to it, being ruled out of this year’s IPL.
Interestingly, Amla is yet to make his IPL debut. He was in the pool of players for this February’s IPL auction with a base price of Rs 1 crore, but went unsold.
Skipper Steve Smith, bowler John Hastings and Marsh’s brother Mitchell have also gone home to avoid aggravating their injuries ahead of Australia’s participation in a tri-nation series in the West Indies next month. He scored 120 runs in the tournament in four matches with a strike rate of 134.83.
