Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Vikas Swarup said both Prime Ministers expressed happiness at the smooth manner in which the land boundary agreement was concluded and took stock of the progress in the Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar regional connectivity initiative. They will observe the Eid-ul-Azha in the USA city.
Hasina is scheduled to address the SDG summit on the concluding day.
During his stay in New York, Prime Minister Modi is also likely to call on the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
The Prime Minister will, however, meet U.S. President Barack Obama at 11 am on September 28. Meanwhile, PM Modi will also attend roundtables on media and communications hosted by News Corp’s Rupert Murdoch and attend a dinner with Fortune 500 company CEOs.
She is also expected to address another conference convened by the USA president on “Tackling violence extremism of IS”.
