Yadav, who is likely to be replaced by Parveen Rana in the Rio Olympics, filed a written complaint in a police station near Panipat on Wednesday. However, the wrestler, like several such cases in the past, alleged that there was a conspiracy to prevent him from going to Rio.

The 2010 Commonwealth Games gold medallist, who earned the Rio quota by winning a bronze medal in the World Championship previous year and was then selected in the squad ahead of two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar, tested positive for a banned anabolic steroid last week and was provisionally suspended. The world wrestling body said the Indian Olympic Association expressed their desire to enter Parveen as their replacement.
