Howard, a native of Atlanta, signed a three-year, $70.5 million deal with the Hawks in July. Howard has played 12 seasons with the Magic, Lakers and Rockets before joining the Hawks. He grabbed 11.8 rebounds and registered 1.6 blocks per game, so he can still be a force on the defensive end with his size. Entering his 13th National Basketball Association season, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year changed his number from 12 to 8, explaining the slogan. If he stays focused on playing basketball, he could regain his All-Star status in Atlanta.
