Actress Hayden Panettiere is seeking treatment for her postpartum depression following the birth of 10-month-old Kaya, her spokesperson has confirmed.
The 26-year-old “Nashville” star has checked into a facility for the treatment, reported Female First. Following the birth, Hayden is battling with postpartum depression and it has now been found that she continues to struggle with the depression.
“For me, it ended up being a wonderful opportunity to explore a few underlying issues that I think the depression kind of brought out”, she said.
“So I try to wrap [my head around] the whole thing, and even at the time, it was very hard to go through, that it was happening”, she continued.
Last month, Hayden was present on “Live!” With Kelly and Michael”, Panettiere, 26, said: “I can very much relate.
Notably, Panettiere’s character on “Nashville”, Juliette Barnes, has experienced postpartum depression. Hayden cleared that she never had any such feeling for her baby. And it’s something I think that needs to be talked about.

“There’s a lot of misunderstanding – there’s a lot of people out there that think that it’s not real, that it’s not true, that it’s something that’s made up in their minds, that ‘Oh, it’s hormones.’ They brush it off. It’s something that’s completely uncontrollable. It’s something a lot of women experience”, Mirror quoted.
