Hayden Pass Fire burns 5000 acres in Fremont County
The state’s multi-mission aircraft has been dispatched to the Hayden Pass Fire.

Sullivan said the fire is believed to have been caused by lightning.
The U.S. Forest Service is not asking for assistance at this time. Evacuation and pre-evacuation orders are in place as a precaution in case the fire continues to grow rapidly Monday.
The warning includes Teller County, Rampart Range, Pikes Peak and Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, the service said. Smoke and haze from the fire has reached several counties in southern Colorado.
Officials say the fire could burn for a while.
An automated call alerted residents living on Fremont County Road 6 south of County Road 45 that they were on a mandatory evacuation as of 7 a.m. Monday, according to Det.
People evacuating can go to the Howard Fire Department, the sheriff’s office said.
