Hayden Pass Fire grows to 10000 acres in Fremont County
However, the Hayden Pass Fire, which has forced the evacuation of about 100 homes, will likely burn for some time in the Sangre de Christo Wilderness where it flared up Sunday. Overnight Tuesday the fire expanded another 600 acres, casting a haze that made visibility hard. Fire crews continue to work on containment lines around Coaldale but the containment remained at zero percent.

“We do not anticipate this fire to be over quickly”, he said Wednesday.
