Hayley Atwell Would ‘Work Weekends’ for ‘Agent Carter’ Season 3
Just over two weeks ago, ABC revealed that Marvel’s “Agent Carter” would not return to the network for a third season. The show’s first season wasn’t a stellar performer in the ratings department but it was through the sheer devotion of fans that Peggy was able to return for a second outing as a badass spy. During a panel at MegaCon in Orlando, Florida, Atwell said she was 100 percent into bringing the character back to life.

The actor, who now stars in AMC’s “Preacher“, was referring to his co-stars Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter) and James D’Arcy (Edwin Jarvis). I love the people working on this project.
It may have been easy for many to assume that one of the reasons Peggy Carter isn’t coming back is because the actress playing her is busy in other roles, but Atwell signing on to another ABC show Conviction actually doesn’t have a lot to do with the cancellation. The actress said she’ll do “whatever it takes” to make “Agent Carter” possible.
While Atwell’s comments are by no means a confirmation of Agent Carter’s revivial, it is a fair start. We have wondered if they would ever end up creating their own platform for releasing content similar to a Netflix or an Amazon; for now, our advice is to continue supporting the show, and even if it doesn’t happen soon, there’s still a chance down the road.
Currently, the petition has more than 116,000 signatures, which is insane, and proves that people are not yet willing to see the beloved Marvel TV spectacle go so easily.
Plus, co-star Dominic Cooper thinks fans will see Carter and Howard Stark again. There are already over 114,000 people who joined the cause for the show’s revival in streaming giant Netflix. “I’d be well up for doing more Howard Stark, and I know they’d be up for doing more of their characters as well, so fingers crossed”, he said.

It is not like fans petitioning for a show to come back hasn’t worked in the past. So maybe we wont get Agent Carter Season 3, but something else entirely.
