Hazardous weather outlook issued; hail, rain and gusty winds possible

Watch for “scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms” developing along east Central Florida by mid to late afternoon, moving toward the east coast into the evening hours, according to National Weather Services forecaster Matt Volkmer. Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high of 73, and Sunday is a carbon copy – except that the high will rise to 77.

Partly cloudy skies will carry over into Wednesday night, with a low around 44.

The ultraviolet index level in the Los Angeles area for Tuesday is a high 9, according to the weather service.

Sunshine is also expected Thursday, along with a light, variable wind that will become southeasterly between 5-10 miles per hour in the afternoon, according to the weather service. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51.

It will be mostly sunny Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. South wind 11 to 15 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 21 miles per hour. Mostly cloudy conditions with temps only in the mid to upper 60s. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is in the forecast.

Slim as our chances of seeing rain may be, it’s the best we’ve got this week.

Sunny skies will round out the week on Friday, with a high near 71.

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 76.
