Hazlewood, Siddle concerns ahead of final Sydney Test

Chasing the unlikely target of 460, the West Indies batted patiently in the early stages and went to tea on 146-4.

Huge crowd was gathered inside the NADRA office at the time of blast due to which loss is increasing as the time is passing. No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack but preceding such attacks are blamed on the Pakistani Taliban.

The selection exercise for Sydney was made easier by Mitchell Marsh’s display of legitimately fast bowling to wrap up the second Test in Melbourne last week.

That snow will eventually work its way down to Dallas, blanketing and freezing over communities in the middle of tornado clean-up. Tornado watches and warnings have been issued for parts of Texas as well as Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Mississippi.

“I thought they played really well and that’s what they’re gonna need to do going forward to improve as a side, they know that now…”

He wobbled off the field after making a tackle following his second interception and spent the closing minutes on the sideline. Quarterback and Heisman finalist Deshaun Watson sparked the Tigers offense with a total of 332 yards and two touchdowns.

Offspinner Nathan Lyon has been Australia’s first-choice slow bowler for some time but has nearly never had company.

“I’ve no idea at this stage, I haven’t really had a chance to talk to the medical staff yet”, skipper Steve Smith said, when asked about Siddle’s chances of making the Sydney Test. “(Lyons) did what he’s done so well this summer. ‘It’s a huge motivation, that’s what we want to be, number one in all formats and we’re working extremely hard to get there, ‘ Smith told reporters on the eve of the match at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Saturday.

The eighth-ranked side were trounced in the first two Tests in Hobart and Melbourne with the Australians yet to be dismissed and conceding only ten wickets.

But Khawaja continued to show his class with 56 off just 61 balls before edging Holder behind, while Smith followed suit, matching his team-mate’s five boundaries.

“If I get my opportunity, great, but if not, if I have to go back and keep toiling away for New South Wales and miss my opportunity, then that’s fine”.

Marlon Samuels, who took 16 balls to get off the mark, was caught behind for 19 off Marsh.

Ramdin cracked eight fours on his way to 59 while Holder, who top scored with 68, picked up seven boundaries and two sixes.

The West Indies’ lack of resistance after Holder’s departure – Kemar Roach and Jerome Taylor fell in the following nine deliveries – ensured there was no final day required.

“Our guys need to cherish these moments and come up trumps in these kinds of games”, Holder said.

While it may be tempting to take the wicketless match from Hazlewood as evidence the 24-year-old needs to rest, a better solution would be to allow him to play in Sydney – less because it is at his home venue than it would help him learn how to respond from an underwhelming performance.

If the past two years at the SCG are any indication, the Australian will be raising his bat in acknowledgement of yet another Test hundred at some point on Sunday afternoon.

“The team fully appreciates and understands the importance of the media towards providing information on the game as well as the growth and development of the sport, ” the release said. Hazlewood’s over stepping was just by millimetres. It was the third time in the match the West Indies had benefited from a similar no ball.
