HBO Now, Travel Channel, Food Network and more gain Chromecast support
A new update is being rolled out for HBO Now on iOS and Android. The HBO Now apps for Android and iOS just received Chromecast support.

HBO’s over-the-top streaming service is rapidly expanding its footprint. Not too far back, the only devices supporting the app were the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple TV.
Now you can stream HBO programs and movies to a Chromecast without paying for a cable or satellite subscription.

Google has also added support for a pair of family friendly iOS games to the device. The company only recently debuted on Android tablets and smartphones after Apple’s window of exclusivity came to an end. Watch Food Network and Watch Travel Channel add a slew of new shows available to cast onto our TV, and for children and the nostalgic among us, Pokemon TV now includes Chromecast support. So watch yourself some HBO shows and enjoy. An HBO NOW subscription is $14.99 and can be purchased within the app or through hbonow.com. However, the service’s early few months were decidedly un-cord cutterish by not distributing HBO Now on multiple platforms. Catch Phrase Blitz is a modern take on the classic Hasbro guessing game.

Online image editor Pixlr also now works with Chromecast, letting you crop, rotate, and make other adjustments to images displayed on your TV.
