“It’s a spirit our band knows well and will try to serve when we return for the postponed shows”.
The U2 concert special is one of the most major television events to be rescheduled due to the Paris attacks, but it is hardly the only one.
Tickets for the cancelled November 14 show will be valid for the December 6 gig while November 15 tickets will be valid for December 7.
And, as originally planned, U2’s iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour will be broadcast live from Paris on HBO.
Tickets for the previously scheduled performances will be honored at the door. They will be returning for the rescheduled concert to the same venue that had been booked for the original, and the AccorHotels Arena should see as full a house on December 7 as it would have at the earlier show.
The concert scheduled for Monday, December 7 will be filmed live and broadcast on HBO that evening at 9 p.m. eastern.
Prior to the Paris shows, which now will close out U2’s 2015 iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE tour, the band will play four concerts at the 3Arena in its hometown of Dublin, Ireland – tonight, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
