The behind-the-scenes special is set to premiere November 7, followed a week later by U2’s performance at Bercy Arena in Paris, to be aired on the day of the concert, November 14.

“U2 continues to take risks, which has made them one of the most consistently exciting forces in rock “n” roll”, said HBO programming president Michael Lombardo in a statement.
U2 and HBO are teaming up for two world premiere specials this fall – a behind-the-scenes documentary and a concert special.
Instead, the specials will be available on HBO Go and HBO Now in addition to premiering on the pay cable channel itself.

Oscar-winning filmmaker Davis Guggenheim, best known for An Inconvenient Truth, directed the doc which chronicles the what the band called the iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE tour.
The guys are interviewed on camera, along with Willie Williams, who has created tour concepts for the band for more than 30 years.

The show includes music from throughout the band’s career from classics like “Sunday Bloody Sunday” and “Pride (In the Name of Love)” to tracks from their most recent album “Songs of Innocence”, which was distributed for free through iTunes. Also, longtime U2 tour manager Dennis Sheehan died in the early stages of the tour, just prior to the band’s five-night residency in Los Angeles. The concert special hails from Done And Dusted with exec producers Hamish Hamilton, Simon Pizey, Guggenheim and Oseary.
